Welcome to the European Network for Genetic and Genomic Epidemiology
ENGAGE Conference and Final Meeting

November 15-16, 2012
Café Engels, Stationsplein 45, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

The past decade has been an exciting time in human genetics as rapid advances in genomic technology and intense international collaboration permit deeper characterisation of the mechanisms underlying many human diseases. Translational opportunities leading to clinical applications in personalised medicine that can benefit human health are emerging from these basic scientific and biological discoveries .

This two-day event will be a closure highlight for the EU funded ENGAGE project and showcase the key research outcomes of the project during its five-year lifetime (2008 -- 2012) with aims to:

a) disseminate the project results to the wider scientific community
b) involve leaders from related fields in dialogue to maximise the translational opportunities afforded by basic science discovery.
We welcome the wider scientific community to participate in the Scientific Conference "FROM GENETIC DISCOVERY TO FUTURE HEALTH" on the first day on November 15th.

Please look at the Programme page for confirmed speakers and other details. Registration is required and free of charge.
The second day on November 16th will only be participated by the ENGAGE members for Consortium internal activities.
We look forward to seeing you all in Rotterdam!
