ENGAGE Training and Mobility Grant Award:

Emmi's work is focused on the genetics of metabolic traits and cardiovascular disease, and her main interest is genetic risk prediction. She is working on ENGAGE polygene prediction project, where the aim is to investigate joint actions of genes and lifestyle factors for the risk of cardiovascular disease in prospective cohorts. Survival and event history analysis methods are applied for statistical analysis of risk prediction. Emmi was awarded a grant for taking part in the Survival and event history analysis course held in University of Oslo, which is one of the leading centers in developing and teaching of these methods.
